Goals: To teach: Formulation of a research question and plan, Literature search, Scientific writing, Peer reviewing, Submission procedures, Conference presentations, Ethics related to writing, including plagiarism, missing citations, fabrication, falsification, and copyright infringement.
Activities: Lectures at the Summer School, individual work on writing a paper for 6 months to be extended and included in the PhD thesis. Monthly net-based peer reviewing meeting will be arranged in smaller groups moderated by local beneficiaries. Each researcher will act both as writer and reviewer. The actual conference, SOCRATES2018, will be organised at the end of the course, with PI’s from all beneficiaries acting as reviewers. The course will be based on a similar course given at UMU for many years.
