Goals: To teach general research methods and principles that apply in modern social robotics research. To start-up the network-wide Student Conference Course.

Activities: Lectures on User-centred research, Human factors, Experimental design and statistical analyses and Project management. Start-up and introductory lectures of the Student Conference Course. Two external expert speakers on User-centred research will be invited. Each ESR will present his/her research proposal using techniques studied in Workshop 1.
